Background:
Mantovai adalah seorang direktur video musik paling diinginkan di Indonesia. Dia mengarahkan lebih dari 300 video musik sejak 1991 dan juga dianggap sebagai orang yang mengawali industri video musik di Indonesia. Dia lulusan di bidang arsitektur dan sudah bekerja di industri sejak tahun 1991. Pekerjaannya telah membuat dia mendapatkan penghargaan international dan dalam negeri. Sampai saat ini, dia mempunyai sekitar 300 video musik, beberapa program televisi dan iklan, dua film, dan banyak awards termasuk MTV award di tahun 1995.
Kuldesak (1999) adalah salah satu penampilan pertamanya dimana ia mengarahkan bersama direktor-direktor Indonesia lainnya, menjadikan film tersebut film pertama dari film-film lainnya menyandang “New Indonesian Cinema”. Penampilan keduanya, sebuah film horror dimana dia mengarahkan dengan teman seprofesinya direktor video musik Jose Poernomo, menjadikannya sebuah box office di tahun 2002.

Mantovani is one of the most wanted music video directors in Indonesia. He directed over 300 Music Videos since 1991also considered as a pioneer in the Indonesian music video industry.He has a degree in Architecture and have been working in the industry since 1991. His work has won him several awards both domestic and international. To date, he has around 200 music videos under his belt, several television programmes and commercials, two feature films and numerous awards including an MTV award in 1995.
Kuldesak (1999) which was his first feature in which he co-directed with other Indonesian directors, became the first of several films bearing the "New Indonesian Cinema" title. His second feature, a horror film which he directed with fellow music video director Jose Poernomo, became a major box office hit in 2002.
